a blade of grass

… he told me that perfection could be learned from nature. be more humble than a blade of grass; more tolerant than a tree. give respect to others freely, without expectation or motive. in such a state of mind, stripped bare of your false pretenses, call out to your Lord eternally.

i’m still working on it …

Today's Kazakh demolition... in pictures

All the photos -- including photos of the demolition in November, which left Krishna families homeless in freezing winter snow -- can be found here.

Video can be found here.

Bulldoze now, ask questions later. Is this how an "oasis of religious accord" deals with religious minorities?

Police officers (government thugs) brought in by the busload to make sure that the job gets done.

Homes reduced to rubble...

... possessions thrown out into the street...

... and a community becomes a cloud of dust.

The human faces of tragedy. How long will Kazakhstan ignore them?

Words cannot express the frustration I feel upon seeing these photos. I can only pray that Krishna will ease these devotees suffering and allow them become situated so that they may continue to serve Him unimpeded.

Kazakhstan is a shithole anyway. Just watch Sasha Cohen's film Borat and you'll agree!

Freedom of religion is frowned upon in a totalitarian state like Kazakhstan as it takes power away from "the leader" (eg. North Korea).

ISKCON should devote its time, energy and money repairing the rifts within (like GBC vs IRM) instead of plans for expansion without.
